Easy Roasted Cauliflower Recipe That Brings Out Incredible Flavor

Cauliflower is one of those vegetables that can be forgettable when cooked the wrong way and absolutely amazing when cooked the right way. This roasted cauliflower recipe is hands down one of my favorite ways to eat it. It is simple flavorful and requires only a few basic ingredients.

Roasting transforms cauliflower into something lightly caramelized tender on the inside and slightly crisp on the edges. If you think you do not like cauliflower this recipe might change your mind.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Why Roasting Is the Best Way to Cook Cauliflower

Roasting cauliflower allows its natural sugars to develop which creates a deeper richer flavor. Instead of being bland or watery it becomes nutty savory and satisfying.

This method also keeps preparation minimal. No complicated sauces or long ingredient lists are needed which makes it perfect for busy weeknights or simple meals.

๐Ÿงบ Roasted Cauliflower Ingredients

  • 1 pound cauliflower
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Coarsely ground black pepper

Optional

  • A splash of high quality aged vinegar for serving

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ How to Make Perfect Roasted Cauliflower

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Trim the cauliflower by removing the stem and leaves. Place the whole head in a bowl of salted water and let it soak for about ten minutes. This helps clean the cauliflower and enhances flavor.

  3. Remove the cauliflower from the water and pat dry. Cut it into quarter inch thick slices.

  4. Place the slices into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with enough olive oil to coat all pieces. Season generously with sea salt and black pepper. Toss well so everything is evenly coated.

  5. Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle any remaining oil from the bowl over the top.

  6. Bake for twenty five to thirty minutes turning once halfway through. The edges should be golden and caramelized and the centers tender.

  7. Serve warm or at room temperature. For an extra layer of flavor lightly drizzle with a good aged vinegar just before serving.
